Obama’s Extreme Abortion Position

Last Saturday in a town hall meeting in Johnstown, Obama reminded us once again of his very extreme position on abortion. He told a crowd in Johnstown, Pa. that if his two young daughters later in their young lives made a mistake, he said “I don’t want them punished with a baby; I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16.”  Now he’s comparing a baby with a sexually transmitted disease and his callous treatment of the miracle of birth is horrifying.  This was just two days ago, not 1996. He hasn’t been listed as the most liberal Senator in the entire Senate for nothing.  As the days wear on, we are starting to see a more complete picture of Barak Obama. Thus far, the media has used a hands off policy as Obama has filled the air with flowery rhetoric. But piece by piece the Obama puzzle is starting to come together and the image that we are beginning to see, is not the one that the media painted for us at the very start of the campaign.

Obama’s statement in Johnstown is consistent with his vote as a State Senator in Illinois which involved restrictions on a type of abortion where the baby sometimes survives, occasionally for hours. Obama actually voted against a requirement to have a second doctor present to care for the baby in case it survives, essentially allowing a fetus that is born alive to die without medical care. A creature of God allowed to die on a table without any effort to keep it alive even though there are medical professionals in the room with the baby. This is about as extreme an abortion position as there is. The butchery of partial birth abortion is exceeded only by a heinous act such as this.

How can we sit idly by as Obama meanders down the road to the Dem nomination when he supports such butchery?
